We see ourselves as a traditional family business. Our roots lie in the jewelry industry, in which the family was already active in the middle of the 18th century.
The master optician, watchmaker and goldsmith Karlheinz Hotstegs founded the present company Ursula Hotstegs together with his wife Ursula in 1964. The first products were eyeglass chains, jewelry loupes and other optical accessories. From this nucleus, an innovative, internationally active manufacturing and wholesale company was formed over the years, which now supplies many thousands of optical stores worldwide.

Nevertheless, today's U!optik Ursula Hotstegs GmbH is still an independent family-owned company with third-generation employees. We see ourselves as a tradition-conscious, but also contemporary partner of the optician.
